It's another busy weekend. Can you believe we're into September already? I hardly can. But - the most exciting thing about this week is ... THE NFL IS BACK! The Steelers schedule is all screwy this year (meaning, lots of prime time games, not as many traditional Sunday, 1 p.m. kickoffs), so I'm sure I'll be posting about where to watch. But this Sunday, as many of you know, I'll be at my dad's. I wonder what's on the menu.
Anyway, before I spill my black and gold all over you, here's what's going on in the non-football world, after the jump.
- Tonight is Hershey Theatre's 75th Anniversary Gala, black-tie optional; Bob Newhart performs on Saturday.
- Mantis kicks of Gallery Walk TONIGHT. Remember, they're in Midtown now. Stop by between 7-10 p.m.; Sunday, they host the Rambo Faire.
- The Renaissance Faire is offering discounted tickets (30% off) this weekend only for miliatary personnel, Veterans of Foreign Wars, police officers, professional and volunteer firefighters and EMTs.
- Midtown Cinema has Woody Allen's new flick, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Loved it.
- Saturday, Giant is hosting a free natural and organic health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Camp Hill Cooking School
- The Maennerchor takes it back to the 50s with its Sock Hop this Saturday at 8 p.m.
- The Susquehanna Art Museum's VanGo! Museum on Wheels will preview its latest exhibit, Earth, Wind, Fire & Water: Science in Art outside of the museum's home on Market St. as part of Gallery Walk on Sunday.
