I'm moving next month (the boyfriend and I bought a house - yipee!), and so I've been trying - slowly but surely - to clean things out, organize, regroup, etc. Oh yeah, and pack. And clean.
In doing so, I just came across some old concert ticket stubs. This isn't all of them - but rather than hold on to them, I thought I'd digitize and share them, then toss. (I must have more in my scrap box, because I'm quite sure I've been to a lot more concerts than this. Recalling David Bowie, for one. And Earth Wind & Fire with Chicago.)
Don't judge, but do enjoy. Click through to check 'em out:
Ah, college concerts. I remember feeling old even at this one.
Another college event. The Graffiti Club is long since closed now, however.
I remember watching a kid sell his ticket before this show for $30 - big difference at the time from the $8 cost.
Ah, The Pietasters! Never got to see them again. Always playing opposite of where I was.
At this concert, I interviewed Chuck Weston for my high school newspaper, hated everything about Local H and was brought up on stage (with a host of others) for the last song when Goldfinger covered Operation Ivy's "Knowledge." I, of course, was rocking an Op Ivy tee.
I can't believe my mom let me go to the Metron. Rocket from the Crypt were pretty fun - they had a band member who simply danced - no vocals, no instruments.
Green Day at the Farm Show! Pretty sure this was my first concert ever. First concert there since the 70s. Also the last?
I won these tix from a now-defunct radio station by answering a trivia question to which the answer was, "David E. Kelley."
I won't spill who took me to this concert - don't want anyone to lose their "cred."
I had waited a long time to finally see BNL, and we made a girls' night out of it. Gavin DeGraw opened, and we got signed CDs.
Great concert, not-so-great date.
Not a huge Dave fan, but had to go to at least one!
Another great show - this time with excellent company.
What-what say what say what anything can happen. Like seeing Wyclef at my sister's alma mater.

I was at two of these shows! Green Day at the farm show; and Rancid, Weston, and Rocket from the Crypt. I remember that show being awesome. And, yes, I too can't believe that my mom let me go to the Metron. She probably didn't realize what she was agreeing to.

Hah, I was at Green Day too! I hit the deck hard while crowd surfing. Oi! :)

Oh, and you should totally keep them. They barely take up any space. Just tuck them in a box somewhere and forget about em.

Oo moving is no fun at all. Good luck with all that and definitely keep those ticket stubs.
I was just hopping over from Resourceful Mommy where I am visiting all the wonderful sponsors.
