As hordes of you Harry Potter lovers jam the movie theaters (in costumes, no less, I hear), I'll be at a favorite usual spot Friday night and working around the house the rest of the weekend. It's an event-packed weekend, friends. Don't forget to check tomorrow's Patriot-News for more info on weekend goings-on in my column. Until then, here's the scoop:
- Tonight: Rillo's "Night in Espana" starts at 6:30 p.m. - enjoy Spanish wine and tapas pairings for $35.
- The Tweet-up has been moved to TONIGHT. 7 p.m., ABC's Abbey Bar.
- Speaking of ABC, starting at 4 p.m. today, all locations will feature Blackberry Wheat, the Gettysburg-brewed wheat ale, for $5 for a 10 oz glass.
- HMAC hosts The Jellybricks Friday night
- Get up early Saturday morning for the C.A.N. Neighborhood Yard Sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop into the Maennerchor's Cathedral Room for additional goods
- The Halifax MusicFest kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday night, featuring Pentagon and two other bands. Tickets are $10.
- DJ Prime spins at Level 2 Saturday night. Don't forget the dress code!
- Saturday also is Italian Night at Hauser Estate Winery.
- Or, stick around Harrisburg for the City Islanders Beach Bash
- If you're getting married this year, don't miss the 3rd Annual Wedding Showcase from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Whitaker Center this Sunday.
