Let's take a moment right now to pretend yet another month has not soared by. Before we know it, it'll be back to school time (though the ads are already abundant). It's time to make the most of the rest of summer while we still can!

My weekend is technically plan-free, but that just means it's time to catch up on housework and start some new projects, plus a healthy handful of wedding planning thrown in for good measure.

Weekend roundup 6/17

This weekend is jam-packed. Tonight is yoga walking & wine because I've been I am a major gym slacker, but things start pretty bright and early on Saturday, when my (local) bridesmaids and I take a road trip to Elizabethtown and Hershey on the hunt for a suitable dress for my best gals. We'll lunch in Hershey (I haven't narrowed down where just yet ...), and wrap things up in Harrisburg.

This, unfortunately, will leave no time to attend this year's Day of Wine & Roses at Hershey Gardens, one of my favorite events there. I remember fondly losing the grape-stomping competition to WHP21's Tom Russell (c'mon he has bigger feet) several years ago.

Saturday evening, we're going to check out the summer fun that is Mountain View Food & Spirits at Roundtop. Live music, crab legs -- hope the weather holds for us.

And Sunday is Dad's day. I've offered to take Pa to lunch and then to Starbucks, but we haven't narrowed down that location - open to suggestions, west shore preferred. By night, the fiance and I tackle a second engagement photo session with Klose Photography at Hersheypark - cool, right?

Weekend roundup 5/20

Too bad every day can't be the weekend. Tonight, my girls and I are doing some wedding-related crafting (never thought you'd see the day, right?), followed by the appropriate post-crafting wine drinking.

I've got a few tricks up my sleeve for the fiance's birthday this weekend - shhh. Hoping to add to the list: get out to a nice dinner, do some home improvements and relax.

What's that I see? Is it sunshine and warm temperatures? For a while there, I was worried Mother Nature had this whole season thing backwards and we were back in fall.

There are events galore this weekend, and you can find a quick primer for the weekend in my column in tomorrow's Patriot-News, featuring XPN and ABC, Derby Day and a Devon Wine Dinner. My plans include an out-of-town Friday wedding in the PA Wilds. We return to rest up for our scheduled engagement photo session on Sunday - can't wait to see the ideas our photographer has for us.

Weekend roundup 2/19

The fiance and I were suckered into a timeshare getaway this weekend, so we're heading to (slightly) balmy Williamsburg, Va., for a quick rendezvous kept on the cheap (hopefully). If you have any suggestions for fun/free/cheap stuff to do in Williamsburg, Va. (we're already planning on the winery and the brewery), please leave a comment below.

We return in time for Sunday's Timeless Elegance Wedding Show at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg West on Sunday. If you're recently engaged and looking for vendors, all the info is right here. It's guaranteed to be a bit different than the typical bridal show.
